An experiment was conducted to study the serological changes by the acupuncture stimulation.
At this study, male rats weighting from 180- 200gr. of each were divided into 3 groups; control group, alloxan treated group and alloxan with acupuncture treated group. Alloxan was given intraveneously 100-9/2009, of rat.
Following results were obtai ied at a time interval in rat treated wish acupuncture stainless steel needles inserted at 3 selected points Bi-Su (B20), Wi-Su (B21) and DamSu(B19) in :the back region for a period of 24 and 48 hours.
1 . Serum gulcose level changes were found to be 96.53.13=9/dl in control group, 359.860.31&v/dl in alloxan treated group and 257.223.19 mg /dl in alloxan with acupunture treated group respectively and it showed significant values (p 0.05) with T-test 2,801.
2. Serum cholesterol, triglyceride,S-GOT and S-GPT level did not reveal any significant values with somewhat in-creased.
3 . According to the above findings, it is presumed that acupuncture stimulation at the points Bi-Su(B20), Wi -Su(B21) and Dan-Su(B19) are applicable to the high glucose level and further study with acupuncture will have the results in the regulating -the high glucose level.
